Ready for a smoke-free future?

Stopping smoking is one of the most beneficial decisions you can make for your health, not only does it improve your physical health but is also proven to boost your mental wellbeing. Indeed, the reasons for becoming a non-smoker are many, yet despite these well-known benefits, anyone who has tried to quit through sheer willpower knows how tough that approach can be. You might wonder why even the shocking images on cigarette packets fail to work, these alarming and grotesque images quickly become wallpaper—our mind simply tunes them out.

The reason that consciously willing ourselves to stop is difficult and often ineffective is that like any habit, smoking is an unconscious process, both in what drives us to do it and the act of smoking itself.

Its true to say, we become entranced (aka hypnotised) by the smoking habit, making the process of stopping smoking one of de-hypnosis from the ‘smoking trance’ and ultimately returning to a place of choice and greater self-control. This is achieved by working at the level of the unconscious mind—the part of you that responds to emotions, imagery and patterns rather than rational thinking, language and logic.

If you’re ready to stop smoking for good, take the first step by booking an online consultation or read on for more information.

Session information

Sessions are available either in person (Norwich, UK) or online. For most people, a single 90-minute session following the initial consultation is enough to quit smoking for good.

Occasionally, the process may uncover emotional attachments or underlying issues where smoking has been used as a coping mechanism. If additional time is needed to address these before achieving the final goal, we will discuss options for further sessions.
